If you were to look around my room at my parent’s place you’d find stuff like this. Lots of old tapes, baseball cards, and Michael Jordan-related things. Looking through a friend’s c.d. collection the other day, I pulled out George Michael, David Bowie, and Elton John. They were all best of discs. I listened to each of them from start to finish, while I was doing a crossword puzzle, writing letters, looking out the window, and preparing dinner. The whole time, I never got the impression that any of these three guys would look down on me for anything I’ve done in my life. If anyone of them were god, who wouldn’t believe in that figure?

The next day I listened to Annie Lennox, Cindy Lauper, and Dolly Parton. These women could be god too. I also listened to Leonard Cohen, Phil Collins, and Sinead O’Connor, and while I love some of their music, I didn’t get that same feeling. These three weren’t as comforting in a bigger picture sense of things. I couldn’t hang with them.

5. i could be wrong but wasnt pyromania by def leppard…...... i was highly influenced by him though …maybe it wasnt in regard to that though mmmmm
