It was Jason’s birthday. My brother was going to drop me off and then pick me up but I talked him into coming with me. I was going to go without a gift but my brother wasn’t having it. While I ate a salad and drank a beer, Joe drew this shirt, freehand, no sketch, just straight up marker on a t-shirt. Jason loved it. From then on, I would get calls, “Hey, I met these girls who are staying at the Bonaventure, you want to go hang out?” or “I got tickets to see 8Ball and MJG, you want to go?” This guy makes power T-shirts.

3. Remember all those kids who I worked with at Chateau Marmont? That one kid from Texas who was a little younger than me…I never saw someone more appreciative than him when you broke down some basics about your business.
