10-10 P.J. Harvey · Oct 11, 01:24 PMWednesday I ran across the Manhattan Bridge in the morning and in the evening I walked from Ground 0 to the Spotted Pig. You take in a lot of different faces along these streets. I met up with some old faces and introduced myself to some new ones at Spotted. We went up to the Beacon Theatre on 74th Street to see P.J. Harvey. The show was as adult as a show could be without being isolating. People knew every lyric but at the most all they did was whisper. Everyone was waiting, hoping, wishing upon one woman. She played about 20 songs and we walked out speechless. If I had more money and more memory cards I’d give you more but here are the videos I shot at the show. I went back to Spotted but Fergus Henderson was the guest Chef de Cuisine with April Bloomfield shifting to sous chef, making pot-roast half pig’s head, pot-roast bacon, trotter & prune, roasted bone marrow & parsley salad, and duck hearts on bibb lettuce; it was too crowded. I went to meet Blake at Milano’s on Houston, he had a beer and a glass of whiskey waiting for me. Blake had just seen the Cave Singers at Mercury Lounge and then Jay Reatard at Cake Shop. Check out the Endless Boogie poster in the back of Milano’s. Mata ne! — Young Philosopher CommentCommenting is closed for this article. |
